Residents concerned about the changing future of core Norman gathered inside the council chambers Tuesday with questions at the ready.

Ward 4 council member Bill Hickman, city staff and members of the Center City Vision steering committee did their best to answer them. Some came to hear more about the plan to effectively rezone the area as a means to control growth that had been driven by a changing property market.

Others, however, were worried about what the new zoning — or form-based code for building — will do to neighborhoods they have known for decades.
